I felt all the feels, surrounded by a beautiful local artistic community, serving as a director for Parker Reed's touching 10-minute play "Can I Take Your Order?", as part of the Writers Playground at Sharon Playhouse in Fall 2024.
I served as a Intimacy Consultant and Choreographer with Sherman Players in August and September of 2024, returning in the Spring of 2025; then also at Warner Theatre in their production of Cinderalla in Spring, 2025. Honored to help all theatre artists create safe spaces of consent, my philosophy is to not only help the actors, but the director and the rest of the company to find joy in this aspect of story-telling.
I truly loved my return to acting in The Prom at Sharon Playhouse in summer 2024. I played Mrs. Green alongside incredible artists and directed by the wonderful Carl Andress, Artistic Director of Sharon Playhouse. I'm thinking I might want to act again soon . . . .
The 2024 Exchange had the goalpost first showing of Grounded by George Brant, a solo play starring Kimiye Corwin with live music and composition by violinist Jane Chung. Kimiye proposed working on this play during the 2023 Exchange, and I was honored to be asked by her to direct, living with this gorgeous and stunning piece of theatre as a year-long work in progress. The play-in-progress was performed twice during the summer of 2024, and two more performances were brought to the public in Spring 2025 before puttint it to rest. I miss it, but mostly miss being in the room with Kimiye and Jane.
Tracy is fulltime faculty at the University of Rhode Island Department of Theatre teaching Acting, Voice & Movement, Script Analysis, Modern Theatre History, directs student productions, serves as Consent and Intimacy consultant on all productions, and anything that is needed in URI's small, accessible, learn-by-doing, ambitious BFA program.
